Most Tiger Moth bi-planes in Australia are privately owned so the chance of a flight in one is relatively rare. Luckily it's an opportunity Airborne Aviation can offer, we have three aircraft available!



Donning a leather flying helmet and goggles ready for a flight of pure nostalgia, whether experiencing the thrill of aerobatics or simply flying high above the bustle of modern life, it is easy to imagine it is 1940 again.

Scenic Flights

Departing from Camden the flight takes in a view
of the Blue Mountains and Lake Burragorang,
and Warragamba Dam.

Typically on return to the airport we will follow
the Nepean River at low level. (500ft)

Aerobatic Flights

A scenic flight, with added aerobatics!

Manoeuvres include loops, barrel rolls, wing
overs, and stall turns.

This is our most popular flight by far!

Formation Flights

We are able to offer you the experience of two
Tiger Moth bi-planes being flown in close
formation on a scenic flight.

30 minutes - $230 (per aircraft)
45 minutes - $335 (per aircraft)

Add a session of aerobatics to your flight. You
will split up and perform aerobatics within sight
of each other before rejoining for the scenic
journey back to the airport.

30 minutes - $260 (per aircraft)
45 minutes - $380 (per aircraft)


Sydney Beaches Scenic Flight

Spectacular flight taking in Sydney's beautiful
beaches just off the coast as low as 500ft.

The normal flight lasts for approximately 1.5 hrs
and goes as far north as Narrabeen. The
extended flight takes approximately 2.0 hrs
and includes the Hawksbury River (Patonga)
and Palm Beach. Both flights follow the coastline
to just south of Stanwell Park with Wollongong
in view.

The route is Camden, Prospect Reservoir,
Parramatta, Hornsby, Patonga*, Palm Beach*,
Narrabeen, Manly, The Heads, Bondi, Botany Bay,
Cronulla, Stanwell Tops, Camden. Other sights
within view include the Blue Mountains,
Parramatta River, Olympic Park, Brisbane Water*,
Pittwater, Sydney Harbour, Sydney City, Royal
National Park, Wollongong.

Tiger Moth History

Our two red Tiger Moths were built in 1940 and served with the Royal Australian Air Force as training aircraft.
