Information for Pilots Visiting Australia

We regularly assist visiting pilots with the planning of their around Australia trips in our new Cessna aircraft, as well as with licence validation or conversion.

We can help plan your dream trip around our beautiful country in approximately 25-40 flight hours - just ask us how!

Visitors and local pilots have recorded some of their journeys in our Trip Photo Blog section. Check it out for ideas when planning your own trip.

Short Term Licence Validation

If you wish to fly in Australia for three months or less CASA will normally issue you with a "Certificate of Validation." This issue is normally dependant on you holding an ICAO licence.

The licence issued is a "permit to fly" for up to three months. A medical examination is generally not necessary, however you will require a full check flight prior to flying in Australia.

A validation of an overseas licence should be started before you arrive in Australia as it can take up to 1-2 months to process due to anti-terrorism checks implemented in recent years. We will work with you before your arrival in Australia to arrange the necessary paperwork. Upon arrival in Australia we will brief you on local procedures and take you for a check flight.

If you have any questions regarding short term validation feel free to contact us!
